'Three Landscapes for Orchestra' is inspired by Aotearoa's ancient native forests and history, and the first movement, Frond, describes a scene from Leonie Holmes' childhood of wandering in deep, dark bush.

It was composed in 2004 and glistens with the composer's signature silvery timbres and distinctive atmospheric soundscapes.

New Zealand Symphony Orchestra conducted by Alexander Shelley

Recorded 29 July 2017, Michael Fowler Centre, Wellington by RNZ Concert.

Producer: David McCaw

Engineer: Graham Kennedy
