RNZ Concert & Covid 19

From Upbeat, 2:00 pm on 24 March 2020

Dear RNZ Concert listeners,

In these challenging times we are very aware of the increased need for some calm and respite from the world. We know many of you come to RNZ Concert for those reasons.

We hope to continue to serve you with beautiful music in the best way we are able over the coming weeks.

However, the current situation is unprecedented, and we, like you, must look after our people – the presenters, producers and support staff who create the RNZ Concert experience.

We will be observing the Prime Minister’s Covid-19 directions about working from home and limiting physical contact.

At times we will need to make changes to our programming on RNZ Concert to achieve this.

Please don’t be concerned if you hear different presentation or programmes during this time. We are committed to fulfilling our responsibilities to you and our staff to the best of our abilities.

When we are able RNZ Concert will return to usual programming.

RNZ and Covid-19

As Covid-19 spreads around the world, it can be daunting keeping up with the information.

As an official lifeline utility, RNZ’s responsibility is to give you verified, up to the minute, trustworthy information to help you make decisions about your life and your health.

We'll also be asking questions of officials and decision makers about how they're responding to the virus. Our aim is to keep you informed.

These services will be delivered primarily via RNZ National and rnz.co.nz.

RNZ Concert (and other RNZ) staff will be supporting the work of our colleagues in RNZ News and RNZ National as needed over the coming weeks.

Kia kaha - stay strong.
