Measures were enacted last month lifting prohibitions on the the medicinal and recreational use of the drug.

The governor Ralph Torres has issued a clarification after reports of students being found in possession of the drug , with one reported sick after eating marijuana-laced brownies.

Use of the drug won't be legal until a local cannabis commission is set up and formulates rules and regulations for all cannabis use within a 180 day period.
