There are now ten confirmed dengue cases in the Cook Islands, with the country still on alert.

The government declared an outbreak last week, following the confirmation of seven cases in February.

Radio Cook Islands reports there have been three more cases, and a total of 26 reported but unconfirmed cases.

The Health Ministry is carrying out daily aerial spraying to eliminate mosquitoes and are encouraging people to leave their homes open.

The fly-overs happen from 5am-7:30am and again from 7:30pm-8pm.
