This year's annual Pacific Islands' Forum summit is to be held in Tuvalu in mid-August, earlier than the scheduled September meeting.

Tuvalu has asked the meeting be brought forward because of a clash with national elections in early September.
The Pacnews agency said the proposed dates of 12-16 August have been approved by the Forum Officials' Committee.
