Two international NGOs believe a recent Land Summit in Papua New Guinea was a dangerous attack on the country's unique customary land tenure system

Jubilee Australia and the Oakland Institute suggest in a new paper that this month's summit was an attempt by the government to 'mobilize' land to allow greater access for multinational companies.

Dr Luke Fletcher of Jubilee Australia told Don Wiseman the PNG government is saying it's not intending to touch custom land, but he believes its real agenda is to open up the land to further exploitation.
