Tears as UK expresses regret for deaths under Cook

Descendants of the people killed at James Cook's first encounter were brought to tears as the British High Commissioner delivered her statement of regret to the hapū.

History was made as Laura Clarke delivered the message to iwi in Tūranganui-a-Kiwa for the atrocities committed during the first contact with Māori 250 years ago.
