Residents of popular holiday home destinations are urging owners to stay away with concerns some may break the lockdown for Easter.
The mayor of Central Otago, Tim Cadogan, lives in Clyde, and says about a third of houses in the small town are holiday homes.
While Central Otago is usually buzzing at Easter, Mr Cadogan has a simple message for those planning a visit during lockdown.
