A short phasing traffic light at road works is being blamed for causing hundreds of holidaymakers to get caught in gridlocked traffic in the Awakino Gorge in Taranaki yesterday.
But the Transport Agency says poor behaviour from motorists running red lights compounded the problem. Our Taranaki Whanganui reporter Robin Martin has more.
