Ardern/Thunberg tell UN Climate Action Summit to act now

From First Up, 5:45 am on 24 September 2019

Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern has told leaders at the UN Climate Action Summit there is hope for the climate if countries, such as New Zealand, stick to a plan which reduces emissions and moves toward renewable energy. Ms Ardern was given the symbolically significant role of giving the opening address, in which she outlined New Zealand's commitment to action. She is also scheduled to meet with the US President Donald Trump and UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson later today. Joining me now to discuss the event of the day at the UN is our correspondent Nick Harper.
