The Big Dry - water tank refills on Waiheke slow

Waiheke residents are waiting up to twenty days for water tank refills, in a situation that's being labelled as 'desperate'. Auckland Council and the Waiheke Local board have set up two emergency water stations, at the Onetangi Sports Park and Matiatia carpark. Bob Upchurch, from the local board, says the situation is dire, as most of the properties on the island are dependent on tank and rain water. He spoke to our reporter Katie Doyle.
