Businessman's mission to spread four-day work-week

From Five O'clock Report, 5:33 pm on 17 January 2020

Andrew Barnes is on a global mission to shrink the average working week from five days to four.

It's been 18 months since the founder of the trust company Perpetual Guardian offered his staff an opportunity to work four days, but still get paid for five, as long as they got their work done.

What he found is staff not only got their work done, but increased their overall productivity.

The success of the four-day trial has become his passion after it attracted wide-spread international interest.

Mr Barnes says the time has come for a four-day work-week and has written a book with facts and figures to back it up.
