From Morning Report, 8:40 am on 4 October 2018

New Zealander Robert Martin has made history by becoming the first person with a learning disability to be elected to the United Nations Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. Mr Martin spent decades in insititutions including Kimberley and Lake Alice - and has previously spoken about not ever being cuddled or loved as a child.
