Govt takes health-based approach to synthetic cannabis

The Government is set to take a less punitive and more health-based approach in dealing with people who are using illegal drugs. Over the past year more than fifty people have died as a result of taking synthetic cannabis and yesterday the Government announced measures to try to turn the statistics around. The Auckland City Missioner, Chris Farrelly, told our social issues reporter Sarah Robson about the harm synthetics have been causing.
