Open-plan offices worsen women's self-consciousness

New research into open-plan offices suggests they suit men a lot better than they do women. In a survey, only women reported feeling observed or watched, and that influenced how they dressed, walked around and worked. Male staff on the other hand seemed oblivious. Despite that Rachel Morrison from Auckland University of Technology's Business School, who's studying office dynamics, told Morning Report the style suited collaborative working arrangements.
