Covid-19 will continue to have a devastating impact on the country's tourism sector and the government shouldn't waste money trying to keep struggling businesses afloat.
So says economist and former KiwiSaver fund manager Gareth Morgan, who advocates that government spending should be focused on fighting the virus, not financial support for those whose livelihoods are collapsing.
