Coronavirus: Exit plan shouldn't distract from testing, tracing - Bridges

The Leader of the Opposition says it's not too early to start talking about an exit plan, but the focus has to remain on heightened levels of testing and contact tracing, and tougher border quarantines.

There are initial, positive signs the Level Four lockdown is doing what it's supposed to do - containing the rate of infection within the community.

Government ministers will start talking about what an exit plan might look like, but warn that's no cause for complacency.

National Party leader Simon Bridges told RNZ political editor, Jane Patterson it all hinges on an effective lockdown.
