Coromandel cops the brunt of bad weather

From Morning Report, 7:40 am on 2 June 2020

The cleanup is continuing on the Coromandel Peninsula today after bad weather lashed the region.

State Highway 25 between the Tairua River and Hikuai was closed yesterday due to flooding and only reopened around 11:30pm.

Rain and wind lashed the north of the North Island over the weekend, with the Coromandel copping the worst of it.
