NZ Music Awards 2018 winners

RNZ Music's Alex Behan was backstage at last night's Vodafone NZ Music Awards, capturing the winner's reactions. He chatted to Troy Kingi, Alien Weaponry, Six60, SWIDT, Brooke Fraser, Sons of Zion and Che Fu, who spoke about Upper Hutt Posse's induction into the NZ Music Hall of Fame.

SWIDT took home Best Hip-Hop Group and they were stoked:

Troy Kingi took home Best Soul/R&B Artist and Best Māori Artist:

Alien Weaponry won Best Rock Group after a goosebump-inducing opening performance:

Che Fu and the Krates performed 'E Tū' to celebrate Upper Hutt Posse being inducted into the NZ Music Hall of Fame. Alex spoke to Che about the group's legacy:

Alex freaked out International Achievement winner Brooke Fraser by wearing a t-shirt with her face on it...

Six60 were the big winners on the night, taking out five awards: Best Group, Highest Selling Album, Highest Selling Single, Radio Airplay Record of the Year and the People’s Choice Award:

Wellington's Drax Project won Breakthrough Artist of the Year and Single of the Year:
