RNZ Music is proud to present the new single and video from Wellington soul/roots/folk musician Thomas Oliver. ‘Coffee’ is the third single from Thomas’s upcoming album The Brightest Light.

Co-written with friend and fellow New Zealand songwriter Mitch James, ‘Coffee’ came together in an Airbnb in Berlin. It was later produced by Thomas in his Berlin studio.

The track’s video was shot in Tokyo and directed by Auckland filmmaker Calvin Sang. It co-stars Japanese dancer and choreographer Elina Ayako.

Thomas won the prestigious Silver Scroll Award in 2017 for his song ‘If I Move To Mars’. His music combines elements of soul, roots and folk, and he produces and mixes all his tracks himself.

His last studio album Floating In The Darkness debuted at #6 on the Official New Zealand Music Chart and

‘Coffee’ is the third single from Thomas’s upcoming album The Brightest Light, which is out on March 6.
