The page has raised almost $10.75 million since the attack on 15 March.

Victim Support said donations had continued to come in, with $63,000 pledged in the past week.

It says the Givealittle donations will be added to the $275,000 received from American crowd-funding site GoFundMe, and other donations made directly to Victim Support.

Australian teenager Will Connolly, known as "Egg Boy", has donated $100,000 raised on his behalf to victims of the attack, with the money split between Victim Support and the Christchurch Foundation.

The 17-year old egged the far-right Senator Fraser Anning in March after he blamed Muslim immigration for the shootings.

Police decided not to charge him but two GoFundMe pages were set up to help cover his legal costs.

The volunteer organisation has so far handed out $7m to the bereaved, injured and witnesses of the 15 March attacks, but it has been criticised by people working with victims for failing to consult them about how the money should be divided between the three groups.

Chief executive of Victim Support Kevin Tso said funds raised had been invaluable in helping those affected to rebuild their lives.

"The compassion and empathy shown by New Zealanders has been overwhelming," Mr Tso said.

"We continue to engage with the victims and their families in the lead up to the final payment, which will be made before the end of June. Every cent pledged has and will continue to be distributed to the victims."

Donations can continue to be made to Victim Support's Givealittle page until 11.59pm on Thursday night.
