Two men have been arrested in Gisborne after a recent spate of tagging in the city.
The police say the two men, aged 19 and 20, have been charged with wilful damage.
A number of properties in the Gisborne CBD and wider industrial area have been damaged by tagging over the last two months.
The police say that's caused significant distress to business owners.
They are grateful to a volunteer camera operator who contacted the police after spotting the pair tagging a property in Peel Street.
The 20-year-old man is also facing charges of possession of cannabis and possession of an offensive weapon.
