Fire crews are at the scene monitoring the situation after a scrub fire in northern Auckland.
The blaze in the Okura Bush Scenic Reserve, near the suburb of Silverdale, was being observed for hot spots overnight.
Fire and Emergency says the scrub fire was reported at 10.30pm.
The blaze initially spread rapidly but all but one fire crew were able to leave by by 2.30am.
