It follows a large disorder incident at Mission Bay Reserve last Friday, where eight young people were arrested after a brawl.

Police said they found out about the latest planned gathering through social media, and have been in discussions with schools discouraging students from taking part in it.

Last Friday, police were called to Tamaki Drive where as many as 100 teenagers were involved in a brawl.

One person received minor injuries and was taken to hospital.

A police spokesperson said seven young people were arrested for disorderly behaviour and fighting related offences, while another was arrested for assaulting a police officer.

All were released without charge and will be dealt with by the Police Youth Aid.
