Traffic has now eased after part of an Auckland motorway that was closed reopened.

The SH1 link to SH16 westbound was been closed by for about 90 minutes after an incident at midday, with delays stretching back to Ellerslie.
The link has now reopened, but NZTA said traffic remained heavy northbound between Penrose and the SH1 Link to SH16 westbound.
NZTA has asked motorists to delay any journeys in the area if possible.
