Coronavirus: Covid-19 updates in NZ and around the world on 25 March

New Zealand is in a State of Emergency and the country is going into lockdown, as people isolate to stop the spread of Covid-19.

Director General of Health Dr Ashley Bloomfield said this afternoon there were now 205 confirmed and probable cases, and there had been a total of 9780 tests undertaken so far.

The country is now in a State of Emergency.

The lockdown is coming into force at 11.59pm tonight.

A national emergency management alert has been issued on mobile phones.
