From April 29 RNZ brings you The Detail, a daily podcast that picks out the news that matters; helping listeners to understand the blur of push alerts, tweets and bulletins and give the background to the big news stories.
Presented by hosts Sharon Brettkelly and Alex Ashton, The Detail talks to experts in their fields as well as journalists from New Zealand and overseas who know their subjects inside-out. Released every weekday at 5am, The Detail will be delivered direct to your phone, computer or car, ready for your commute, workout, breakfast, dog walk...whatever and whenever you want it through the day.
In a world where there are so many news sources – not all of them reliable – we will be filling in the knowledge gaps.
