The 2022 Lexus Song Quest Grand Final is on Saturday 23 July from 7:30pm at the Michael Fowler Centre, Wellington.

Five of New Zealand's best young opera singers Amelia Berry, Filipe Manu, Sarah Hubbard, Emmanuel Fonoti-Fuimaonoa and Felicity Tomkins will perform with the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra and compete for up to $95,000 in prizes and a career-launching win.
Many Aotearoa singers who have won the Song Quest over it's 65 year history went on to grace the opera stages of the world including Dame Kiri Te Kanawa, Dame Malvina Major, Teddy Tahu Rhodes, Jonathan Lemalu and Sol3 Mio’s Amitai Pati.

Head Judge Teddy Tahu Rhodes (pictured above with the finalists) says “It was an extremely difficult task to narrow it down to five finalists. This is the number one competition for opera singers in Aotearoa and the gala is always a fantastic night for everyone.”
