A policeman in French Polynesia has been arrested and charged with drug trafficking.

Tahiti-infos reports he was detained last week after meeting a young woman who had arrived at Tahiti's airport from Hawaii with 60 grams of methamphetamine on her.
She was taken into custody with a man who had travelled with her.
The two were however released until further notice.
The policeman has been questioned and charged with drug trafficking.
