The government said that had to be presented at check-in of all flights bound for Tahiti.
That applied to airline crew as well as travellers who in the preceding month had been to a zone considered to be at risk.
The government said it had made preparations for one or possibly more cases but that to date there had been none.
Its earlier advice was that arriving passengers had to produce such an attestation if they had been to any of Asia's main countries, including India, the Philippines and Japan, since the beginning of the year.
Last week, the government decided that all ships arriving in French Polynesia must now first dock in Papeete.
Meanwhile, American Samoa's acting governor has suspended all government travel to US states and foreign countries with cases of coronavirus.
Lemanu Peleti Mauga's order is effective immediately.
In a memo, he said only travel that was absolutely essential to the territorial government would be authorised.
Anyone authorised to travel would be subject to quarantine measures implemented by the health department.
