The Federated States of Micronesia has entered its sixth month under a State of Public Health Emergency, following Congress' move to extend a declaration through to 31 July.

President David Panuelo first declared a public health emergency on 31 Jan, mandating a travel ban and the closure of borders to prevent the entry of Covid-19.
The Island Times reported the extended declaration required the implementation of social distancing and other government restrictions.
The congressional resolution also called for the development of a repatriation plan for FSM citizens, residents and members of the diplomatic corps, who had been in quarantine and isolation facilities.
