Two more covid-related deaths on Guam

Two more covid-19 related deaths on Guam have brought the territory's death toll from the pandemic to 18.

They are the latest of eight reported covid related deaths this month by Guam authorities.

The total number of confirmed cases of the virus on Guam is 1,671, with 912 cases in active isolation.

According to the Joint Information Center in Guam, the 17th and 18th fatalities were both known cases.

A 31 year-old female was pronounced dead on arrival at the Guam Regional Medical City - she had underlying health conditions, and is the island's youngest Covid-19-related death to date.

Another patient, a 65 year-old male who had comorbidities and was admitted to the Guam Memorial Hospital last week passed away yesterday.
