Yutu nearly destroyed two schools, prompting the Federal Emergency Management Agency to come to the party.

$US25.3 million goes to Hopwood Middle School, replacing the administration and library facility, repairs across the campus, including new wiring, plumbing, roofing and windows.

The $2.3 million for Oleai Elementary School will pay for air conditioning units, new lighting, walls, doors, and floorings in classrooms, restrooms, and the cafeteria building.
