1:25 Solution for open-fire cooking dangers

Smoke inhalation from open-fire cooking is a problem that not many people have to think about in New Zealand, but around the world it affects millions of people every day.

A New Zealand fireplace company has created a solution for this problem.

Escea is a fireplace company locally owned and operated in Dunedin, and they've designed a flat-packed product called 'Fire For Life'.

Nearly 5000 families in displacement camps in Syria are already benefiting from this safer way of cooking.

Founder and CEO of Escea Nigel Bamford speaks to Jesse.
