NZ funk/soul/dub supergroup L.A.B. recently released their third album L.A.B. III and are touring Aotearoa. RNZ Music was lucky enough to record a special live session with them at Auckland’s Roundhead Studios.
Less than 12 months after the release of their second album, L.A.B. are back with L.A.B. III, their third album in three years.
Known for their electrifying live shows, the group play a unique blend of funk, soul, rock and dub.
The band is made up of members Brad and Stu Kora (drums, guitar/keys), Katchafire’s Ara Adams-Tamatea (bass), vocalist/lead guitarist Joel Shadbolt, and newest member Miharo Gregory on keys.
The band performed three tracks live at Neil Finn's Roundhead Studios, especially for RNZ Music. Stay tuned for the third and final live video 'Heat', due out December 19.
