A person has died in a shooting in Rotorua, and police have made an arrest.
Police said emergency services were called to the scene in the suburb of Mangakakahi after reports of a shooting at about 7.50pm on Wednesday.
They found one person there had died.
Police said shortly afterwards a person was arrested at a nearby address, and they are not seeking anyone else in relation to the incident.
