A man facing serious assault charges in relation to the death of Whanganui woman Jasmine Wilson has pleaded not guilty.

The 28-year-old, who has interim name suppression, appeared in the Whanganui District Court this morning.
Ms Wilson, a 30-year-old mother of two, died in hospital on 2 August after suffering non-accidental injuries.
Today, the defendant denied charges of assault with intent to injure, injuring with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, and two cannabis-related charges.
He was wearing a white long-sleeve top and grey sweatpants. He elected a jury trial and was remanded in custody until his case review in November.
Three other people also appeared in court facing charges of perverting the course of justice - two of them entered not guilty pleas today.
Police believe they were involved in a car switch when dropping a seriously injured Ms Wilson off at hospital.
They were free to leave the court house and have been remanded on bail until their case review in November also.
Ms Wilson's mother Brenda Reuben and father Chris Wilson watched on from the public gallery as all four defendants had their interim name suppression extended.
There was a brief exchange outside the courthouse as the defendants crossed paths with Ms Wilson's family and friends.
Many of the victims supporters were wearing clothing with the tagline Break the Silence and Justice for Jaz today.
On Saturday, two vigils were held in Whanganui's main street to raise awareness of the case and urge people to come forward to police if they have any information.
Hundreds of locals attended throughout the day.
