A woman was shot at by what appears to be a BB gun pellet in Upper Hutt on Thursday morning.
Police said she was walking in Fergusson Drive about 10.30am on 26 January, when she felt a sharp pain in her face.
Doctors at the hospital found she had been injured by a small metal pellet.
Police said they were investigating the incident and wanted to hear from anyone who was in the Fergusson Drive area around the same time, and who might have information.
