Police investigating an armed bank robbery are searching for a man wearing a distinctive grey patchwork hoodie.
Just after 4pm on Wednesday an armed man entered a bank on Rangiora's High Street, north of Christchurch, police said in a statement.

No one was injured in the incident, but part of High Street was cordoned off while a scene examination was carried out.
Officers were investigating and: "Police would like to speak to the [person in the photo], who we believe can assist with our enquiries," the statement said.
The person shown in the photos was wearing a grey hooded sweater with a patched design, jeans, black sneakers and dark sunglasses.
Anyone with information was asked to call Police on 105, or to visit their Update Report page online at 105.police.govt.nz and quote file number 230413/9325. Information could also be provided anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, or on their website.
