A man has been critically injured during a firearms incident in Invercargill.
Emergency services were called to Mavora Crescent, Heidelberg, shortly before midnight on Sunday.
Police said the man was taken to hospital in critical condition.
They asked for anyone with information to call 105 (event number P055508327) or Crime Stoppers on 0800 555 111.
