One person has died after a house fire in the Dunedin suburb of Andersons Bay.
Police said emergency services responded to a call reporting a fire on Highcliff Road at about 9.20am on Tuesday.
Police confirmed that one person had died.
People were asked to avoid the area and expect delays due to road closures.
Police and Fire and Emergency NZ would investigate to determine the circumstances of the fire.
