A person has died after a crash between a car and a motorcycle in Murupara.
The crash at the intersection of Rimu Road and Oregon Drive was reported to police at 11am on Tuesday.
Emergency services attended, but the motorcyclist died at the scene.
The road remains closed while the Serious Crash Unit conduct a scene examination.
Motorists are asked to avoid the area.
