The future of training radiology medical specialists in the public system in Wellington is on the line.
Te Whatu Ora's Wellington district must tell assessors by next Monday how it has improved its training.
It lost its 'A' grade rating late last year, downgraded to 'D' and is still facing the risk of being shut out of doing training entirely.
The health agency said on Thursday it was still preparing its report about why it should be allowed to keep training junior scanning doctors.
It would not summarise its report publicly until assessors at the Royal College of Australian and New Zealand Radiologists have had a look at it and given feedback.
RNZ's reporting on the training downgrade in December triggered attempts by the agency to find out if any staff had been talking to the media about it.
