Police searching for a "very dangerous" man who had a warrant out for his arrest said Saturday evening he has been apprehended.
The public was asked to help them find 35-year-old Bryce Studd-Proctor or give information on his whereabouts.
Police said he was arrested and remanded into custody to appear in Hutt valley District Court on Monday.
Police said Studd-Proctor had close links to the Hutt Valley and was believed to be in the Wellington area.
"He is considered very dangerous," a spokesperson said.
"Anyone with information is urged not to approach him and instead to call 111 immediately and quote file number 240301/6605.
"Alternatively information can be provided anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
