Pace bowler Matt Henry has an abdominal strain and has been withdrawn from the ODI squad for the games against Pakistan and then India.

Henry actually bowled 21 overs on the final day of the drawn second test with the strain as New Zealand pushed for a win.

Coach Gary Stead says they have yet to decide on a replacement.

Meanwhile test wicketkeeper Tom Blundell didn't take part on the final day in Karachi with an adductor strain.

Stead expects him to be out of action for two to four weeks.

New Zealand play Pakistan in three ODI's starting in Karachi on Monday and then three ODI's an three T20 internationals in India.

Meanwhile Stead says Trent Boult, who is currently playing in the Australian Big Bash, is unlikely to be considered for the Test series against England in February.

Boult is no longer centrally contracted by New Zealand Cricket.
