Gwen directed and produced factual content for leading broadcasters in the UK and USA, before making her first feature-length documentary based in New Zealand, Where There is Life (2017).

The film follows the unique journey of a family under pressure and was described by the NZIFF panel as “startling in its candour”. 

Gwen specialises in character-based, observational filmmaking and seeks to celebrate the human spirit in her practice.

Phillida Perry is an entrepreneur with a legal background. Her career has taken in creating and running successful start-ups in construction, health and disability and the arts.

She is Chairperson of the Tauranga Art Gallery Foundation and has recently embarked on producing quality content promoting social justice and gender equality.

Phillida is passionate about documentary film that inspires us to challenge and connect with all things human.
