Mihingaarangi Forbes
Mihingarangi Forbes is RNZ’s Māori Issues Correspondent. She’s worked in Māori journalism for 25 years beginning her career for Te Karere in 1995. Over the years she’s producer new bullletins in te reo Māori and presented a number of Māori Current Affairs programmes including Native Affairs and The Hui at Mediaworks. Mihi says she trys to bring understanding Māori issues impacting both Māori and Pākēha such as the settlement process, social issues and history. Last year she produced and presented an hour special on the New Zealand Wars which ran on Anzac Day highlighting the series of wars between Crown troops and iwi.
