Franz Schubert's works for violin and piano were one of the 'themes' running through the 2019 Adam Chamber Music Festival in Nelson.
Here Monique Lapins, normally a member of the New Zealand String Quartet, joins with visiting Hungarian pianist Izabella Simon to play Schubert's second violin sonatina, D385.
The work is in A minor and has three movements, marked by a charming simplicity of style.
