The title refers to part of the coastline of Rangitoto Island where, between 1887 and 1947, thirteen unwanted ships were disposed of by dumping.

The music, “suggests the energy of the seas with the rise and fall of the water reflected in the melodic material. The piece ends with ghostly overlapping melodic ideas from the upper strings.”

Recorded in Raye Freedman Arts Centre, Epsom Girls Grammar School, 23 May 2019
Producer: Tim Dodd, Engineer: Adrian Hollay
