'Manukau Songs: A Choral Symphony' is New Zealand composer David Hamilton's first symphony. The work features poetry and words in Te Reo Māori and English from the 1850s, alongside the poetry of Manukau-based poet Yvonne Amery (Ngā Puhi) from her collection Here at the Edge.

Bryan Crump spoke with David Hamilton and Brent Read, who is director of the Puhinui School Choir. The choir is part of the choral forces involved in the symphony.
